OUR EXPERIENCE

Andrew and Ali met in graduate design studio, where they discovered a shared commitment to architectural beauty and craftsmanship. Since then, they have collaborated on research projects, design proposals, and competitions, earning recognition for our work and partnership.

During graduate school, they gained complementary professional experience through professional internships. Ali worked at Studio Peter Hamilton, a residential practice specializing in high-end custom homes. Andrew developed technical expertise at House & Robertson Architects, contributing to large-scale commercial projects including 415 Natoma, a 25-story mixed-use development in downtown San Francisco.

“Andrew is an excellent professional and a delightful individual, his contribution to House & Robertson Architects has been invaluable. He led the effort in the coordination and integration of complicated design elements on a 25 story high-rise office tower as well as an immersive experience based museum. He is extremely hardworking and brings a positive and optimistic attitude to all the work he does. It has been a joy to watch how Andrew has developed into a thoughtful and intuitive designer and advocate for equality over the past few years. I look forward to seeing him continue to pioneer innovative solutions to the built environment.”

At the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, Andrew led a multidisciplinary team of researchers, designers, and engineers to develop Project H.E.R.O.E., a portable, modular hospital prototype. Developed with funding and guidance from HLW International, a leading global architecture firm, the project was published in international journals and received multiple design awards.

“It is very rare that I am fortunate to write a recommendation for perhaps the best student graduate from USC in the past ten years. Andrew represents one of those rare students that we only occasionally see that graduate from school with the real potential to be a future leader of the profession at the highest level. Andrew is articulate, clear minded and brilliant. He can understand difficult and complex problems beyond his years of experience and come up with remarkable solutions. The effort that he puts into his work had always greatly exceeded expectations.”

After graduation, Andrew and Ali joined commercial firms to develop business acumen and navigate the complexities of large-scale development. Andrew worked across diverse project types—higher education buildings, churches, schools, industrial facilities, and hospitality spaces—earning his architectural license in Oregon and advancing to Associate at Soderstrom Architects. Ali focused on high-rise multifamily projects with international developers and winery resorts in the Willamette Valley.

While working with Soderstrom Architects, Andrew served as the Design Architect for the new Timberline Lodge Guest Pool. The project replaced an existing failing structure and re-established the historic West facade of the Lodge.

The Holy Cross Community Center, a project by Soderstrom Architects, was another design Andrew assisted with while working in Portland, OR.

Inn the Ground, a hospitality building by GBD Architects, was one of the many projects Ali worked on in Oregon.

The redesign of Onyx Hall, a project by Soderstrom Architect’s, was one of Andrew’s designs on the University of Oregon campus.
